ABOUT THE SALON /

AI is moving from a race to train increasingly capable models to a race to put them to work, at scale and in real time. The Inference Salon examines the investment implications of that shift at the AI inference, climate, and institutional investment.

The Salon is organized around two opportunities shaping the development and applications that rely on inference.

​

First, what does it take to deliver inference at scale. How do advances in compute architecture, chips, power, cooling, and data-center design change the energy and water intensity of AI?

Second, what becomes possible when latency collapses and AI can interpret new information and respond in real time? Applications across weather, agriculture, transportation, wildfire detection, and national security illustrate how faster inference can move systems from analysis after the fact to decision-making while events are still unfolding.

Together, these questions define an emerging investment landscape: the infrastructure required to support real-time intelligence and the industries positioned to use it.

Most sessions follow the Salon’s signature format: a 15-minute spotlight talk followed by approximately 15 minutes of conversation with the room. Intimate and highly participatory, the format is designed to move quickly from technical capability to investment consequence.

The Inference Salon is brought to you by TheNewClimate, founders of the Climate Salon, now in its eighth year. Last year’s Salon brought together attendees representing approximately $13 trillion in assets under management.
